A Geological Intervention
on the Island of Fuerteventura
«Entre Tierras: Alma Calma Fuerteventura» is a site-specific artistic intervention in which Alonso Murillo Gil collects natural materials from the territory of the island, processes them by hand into natural pigments, and applies them as artworks at Alma Calma Hotel Rural. Every colour you see in this hotel comes from the earth of Fuerteventura.
Desde el Aire
The main mural covers the entire exterior facade of Alma Calma. The subject is an aerial view of the volcanic landscape of Fuerteventura — the Calderón Hondo and Montaña Colorada seen from above, rendered in natural pigments of the island.

Alma Calma
Twelve natural colours of Fuerteventura, extracted and hand-processed by Alonso Murillo Gil. Each colour has a name born from the territory and light of the island.
All pigments are 100% natural, extracted from the grounds of Alma Calma Hotel Rural and from private properties on Fuerteventura with the authorisation of the owners. No synthetic pigment has been used in this project.

Fragmento I–XV
15 panels on wood, 35×35×5 cm each, which together form a single aerial view of the volcanic landscape of Fuerteventura. Fragmento I–V are permanently installed in the five guest rooms. Fragmento VI–XV are available for acquisition.
The Collection
Fragmento VI–XV are unique works available for acquisition directly at Alma Calma Hotel Rural. Each work is numbered, signed and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
